| Survival experts will tell you not to panic when you become disoriented. When you realize that you are truly turned around, deep in the woods with no one within miles; you'll panic and start stumbling blindly through the woods, searching desperately for a way out. To survive you must know your location in order to intelligently decide if you should wait for rescue or if you should determine a destination or route to travel. If the decision is to stay, you need to know your location in order to call the information into rescue personnel. If the decision is to travel, you must be able to use a map and compass to determine the best routes of travel, and locations of possible hazardous areas which you should avoid. There is no reason to panic - allow us at CRF to teach you what you need to know about land navigation. |
